All TUC-Series undercounter refrigerators including the True TUC-48-HC use R290 Hydrocarbon refrigerant, the most efficient and environmentally friendly refrigerant in the industry. With R290, TUC units including the True TUC-48-HC have shorter compressor run times as well as consistent, colder holding temperatures. Shorter run times result in lower energy consumption and lower cost of ownership. Colder holding temperatures mean improved food safety and sanitation, less waste, and lower overall food costs.

The True TUC-48-HC undercounter refrigerator is a two-door, forty-eight-inch-wide unit with all stainless steel front, top, and ends. The all stainless-steel top doubles as a functional workspace with easy access to refrigerated ingredients below. The interior has an NSF approved clear-coated aluminum liner and a stainless steel floor with coved corners for easier cleaning. Four heavy-duty, PVC coated adjustable wire shelves come standard with the unit. The entire cabinet structure and solid doors are foamed-in-place with Ecomate®, a high-density polyurethane insulation with zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and zero global warming potential (GWP). The self-closing swinging doors found on the True TUC-48-HC extend the full length of the cabinet and feature a ninety-degree stay-open feature for easy loading and unloading. The doors of the True TUC-48-HC also feature one-piece magnetic gaskets that are easily removable and replaceable without the use of tools. Five-inch casters with locks provided on the front set come standard with all TUC models.
