Most orders of in stock items will be processed to ship within 1-2 business days. Special order items usually ship within seven business days after processing depending on the manufacturer.
Occasionally, items may be out of stock or back-ordered. In this case, we will contact you to inform you of the situation. Out of stock items will either be shipped directly from the manufacturer or shipped from Dine Company if we have a shipment on the way.
We ship in the fewest amount of packages in the fewest shipments we can, but some orders could include items shipped directly from the manufacturer and items shipped from Dine Company. Other orders could include non-freight shipping and freight shipping items which would also ship separately.
Non-freight items shipped from Dine Company will usually ship by UPS with some smaller products shipped by USPS.
UPS shipping options include Second Day Air and Ground. Please allow time for order processing when deciding on your shipping option. Use the following diagram to estimate UPS Ground times for your shipment.
USPS shipments will deliver within 1-2 days once shipped.
Freight items shipped from Dine Company will ship through a carrier of our choosing.
Shipments directly from manufacturers may ship with different carriers.
In rare cases, shipping companies may not be able to make it to some rural areas. If this is the case, we will contact you to arrange delivery to a shipping terminal in your area.
The shipping calculator found in the shopping cart and the checkout process is the exact shipping amount charged. Unlike some other companies, Dine Company doesn't make you call us for a shipping total. We also won't call you after you checkout to tell you the shipping is actually higher than what you just paid. What you see is what you pay! This calculator literally allows you to quickly shop 24 hours a day; not just when our office is open.
Free Shipping is available for orders over $149 (excluding assembled furniture). Please click here for more information on the Free Shipping policy.
UPS - UPS Ground or 2nd Day items may be left in a safe location determined by the delivery driver.
USPS - Shipments will usually be left where you receive mail.
Freight - A liftgate is offered on all shipments weighing over 150 lbs. Unless you have a dock or forklift, a liftgate is highly recommended to lower heavy equipment down from a semi trailer. Even with liftgate delivery for freight items, the truck driver is only required to put the items on the ground where the truck can go. Unfortunately, the truck may not be able to get to your door, in which case, the driver will place the items as close to the door as possible. The driver is not required to move the items to your door or inside your building. The driver is also not required to unpack any items.
Inspect all merchandise upon arrival. You are responsible for checking piece count and inspecting for damage BEFORE accepting the shipment.
Merchandise shipped from Dine Company is insured against loss by the freight carriers. In order to collect on a reported damage or shortage claim, the merchandise must be inspected BEFORE signing off on the delivery.
Upon delivery, carefully inspect all packaging looking for damage which may have occurred during shipping. The likelihood of damage is small, but it is still your responsibility to check upon delivery.
If damage is visible to the crating, box, etc your item was shipped in, please take pictures of the damage and keep all packing materials in case a claim needs to be filed. After taking pictures, remove the packing and inspect the merchandise for damage.
Refuse the shipment if merchandise is damaged beyond repair. DO NOT sign anything in this case unless you choose to accept the merchandise in the current condition. The refused merchandise will be returned and a replacement will be sent.
Merchandise received with minor dents, scratches, or breaks should be accepted, but this damage needs to be noted with the delivery driver. Noting the damage with the driver will start the insurance claims process with the freight carrier.
Concealed damage which was not immediately visible due to packaging materials should be reported to the freight carrier and Dine Company the same day as receiving; preferably within 1 hour of receiving. This quick timing is the best way to file a concealed damage freight claim.
Damage claims reporting expires 24 hours after the merchandise is received. After this time, no further action will be taken by the freight carrier or Dine Company.
Remember, it's in your best interest to inspect all merchandise upon arrival before signing any receiving documents.
